Collecting replays of my cup. How? ^^

Hi there,

I'm hosting a cup really soon and I'd like to create weekly videos showing of some of the coolest or sickest frags that occured in my cup. I would like to know if it's possible to gather all replays somehow.

I dont want to ask all players "hey could you pls save your replays and send them back to me when your match is over?" Because that wouldn't be fun for the participants and that would be too much work.

All matches will be played on servers I can administrate, so I was wondering if I could use server-replays? Is that possible?
Other questions that come to mind:
1. Will it make my server lagg? Does it affect gameplay in any way?
2. Are server-replays editable the same way as "client-replays"?
3. Are server-replays usable for editting?


If you happen to know the answer then leave a reply. I have no experience with this so a detailed explanation would be very welcome ^^

with a server controller you can save match replays and save it and use it in a movie.

This post was my way of asking ^^. I'd like some help with this but would love to see the solution here in the comments so that its helpful for others too.

My biggest concern is wether it would have an impact on the gameplay/lag or not.

elite gamemode autosaves the replays through the gamemode. ^^

For server controller i know that for instance the mania-actu/drakonia plugin saves the match replays by autosaving replays.

There are different ways.

Doing it by server-side methods like a server controller or by client/server-side script way.

what about that part in dedicated_cfg.txt?

it works.. but only in elite replays are saved.

My cups are for Elite and the servers are using the best server controller out there: Mania-Control.
