Hello everyone,
for quite a while now some friends and I have been working on a server with only Slide maps. We've actually been wondering why no one else has been trying to do this in these two years, but well, here we are now. It's been quite some fun for us, very different from normal gameplay. It very much reminds me of the time, I used to play Trackmania, hunting records or just cruising along to some music with some friends.
We've got 16 maps on our server. Some of them are pretty hard, others not so much. There's a good chance you'll like playing this kind of maps, no matter if you're an obstacle pro or still learning.
You can take a quick look at a run right here. Some obstaclers might already know this map. ;D
For the technical stuff:
The script is basically TimeAttack, so it's neither a TP nor its own mode. Domino was so kind to implement some little features and to redisign it for us, since Nadeo's original TA script is older than the egyptians. Thank you Domino.
The maptype is accordingly TimeAttackArena.
All the maps we have built so far are publicly available on ManiaExchange.
If you have anny suggestions concerning the server or maybe the script, don't hesitate to tell us your ideas.
Also if you wanna build a Speedslide map of your own, please go ahead and leave us a note, so we can add it on our server.
