My main wish: a environment with water! (or at least an option that let you change between water and land like in Storm)
I would like to see a tropical or Caribbean environment, a Mediterranean would be nice too.
So Lagoon would be awesome!

If Lagoon is not the next environment I hope Nadeo considers it for the near future. A lot of people really want this including me. It will likely be tricky for them to create a good looking wet environment with ample lush vegetation, while still keeping reasonable frame rates. Valley is a good example of this. A lot of people complained about lag in Valley, especially on maps with lots of trees, but at the same time agree it does look beautiful.
One thing I think they really need to work on is the vehicle interacting with water.

As a new environnement and if I could build this myself with help from devs it would be a ESL environnement, where you have many pieces to build tracks, you choose the map size, and decide of the driving style for the map. Plus, ading to this new signs, animated signs for this ESL environnement. You could also decide to make your own custom scenery as a "background" for your maps.

To be honest, i build a map full of forest and dont lag. ^^Demented wrote:If Lagoon is not the next environment I hope Nadeo considers it for the near future. While that may be true for you and for many of us serious Trackmaniac's, the average player doesn't have a high end system, and if the average user has problems with frame rates, the number of players will drop, and we don't want that.Trylk255 wrote:To be honest, i build a map full of forest and dont lag. ^^

Re: What new Environment would you like to see?
that's why mappers need to check the coppers value...
"maps for everyone"
have CP count < 16k or even less (copper count turns red at some level, don't remember at the moment)
Hightech design maps
don't care

I call that "Block value"
White : 0-7 000
Yellow: 7 000 - 15 000
Red : 15 000 - infinite

What you could do is set a warning mewsage :TMarc wrote:that's why mappers need to check the coppers value...

Perfomance warning : this map is reducjng framerate, we will setup automatically the best perfomances settings for this map.

Nice Idea. I like that.Trylk255 wrote:What you could do is set a warning mewsage :

I have a few big maps that can get some lag under certain conditions and it would be nice if when the framerates dropped below a certain amount specific effects would temporarily drop from the processing. Maybe you could set an ordered list in preferences of a few things that could dropped "on the fly". Obviously some things like Screen res can't be changed while driving, but anti aliasing and some other things could.
IE: IF Framerate > 60 THEN Do Antialiasing ELSE Skip it.

0 - 10000 - Copper count is whiteTMarc wrote:that's why mappers need to check the coppers value...

10000 - 15000 - Copper count is yellow
Above 15000 - Copper count is red
The first time you hit the limits in the editor (yellow and red) you get a warning message.
But it also depends of which blocs you use and which environment you're building on.
Personal opinion : Nice idea about the auto adjust for performance. Shouldn't be forced however but available as an option you could check in the launcher. If I remember well TMU had something similar.
