Recommendation for a mid range graphics card for TM2

Hi there,

I would like to ask if someone can give a recommendation for a mid range graphics card that I would use only for TM2.
My actual GTX570 is making artefacts. It works again now(after baking it ) but I don't know for how long.

What can I expect from a gtx750 or 760 in combination with TM2? Or may be I should switch to ATI/AMD?

As I told, only for TM2 at 1920x1080.

It always depends on how much you want to spend and how long you intend to keep the new card.
Actually the GTX570 range is sufficient for FullHD, and as replacement I would suggest a new GTX960 and not any older GTX8x or even GTX7xx anymore.

I run a Geforce GTX 760 and while I can't run everything on highest settings without some frame drop, I have some things set to high and some to Ultra and the game looks really good and runs smooth.

960 has the same architecture as the 970 and those cards are failing hard. Sad, but true.
I dont recommend any card using that architecture.

A 760 would be a good enough card for a nice prize. ( Altho I also had that one & it lagged incredibly )

That's not true. The GTX970 has only a problem because they did not reveal the right information directly from the beginning. I don't have any issue with my GTX970 at the moment, and I'm really happy to have exchanged it from the old GTX560Ti which was apparently the bottleneck in my system.

You have to be more specific:
Graphics look great, but ManiaPlanet doesn't take profit of it, due to DX9.
But ManiaPlanet is not the only game so why restrict to old architecture, only because of a few fps more?

thx for the answers.
As I mentioned in my first post, I am searching for a card in the mid range and only for tm2.
A gtx 970 is definitvly out of what I would like to spend for a graphics card (320Euros and above).
The amount of money that I would like to spend should not surpass the 150Euro limit if possible.
What about the comparison between AMD/Nvidia? Which one is better for TM2 in the that range?

Although it is in German (and shows Euro prices for Germany) there is regularly a nice side-by-side comparison of AMD vs. nVidia cards (scroll down a bit):

For max 150€ they recommend AMD Radeon R9 270x or nVidia GTX 660.

I use an AMD 7870 and I play 1920*1080 with all settings turned on high. I get ~ 50-90 FPS on valley with this. In the list that TMarc posted, it will be equivalent to a R9 270X and thus, everything in that range should allow you a good gaming experience.
