could you please try the debug version (see link in my signature) - just dowbload the zip, extract it where ManiaPlanet.exe standalone is, and execute ManiaPlanet_Logs.exe, it will create a logfile ManiaPlanetLog...*.txt in your ManiaPlanet documents folder.
Please then upload this log here.

"Cannot create ManiaPlanet_logs.exe. Access is denied."

I placed it in my documents MP folder and then I got this error when trying to start the file:

"The program can't start because libwebp.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

you should try it with admin rights ;)

btw. did you launch ManiaPlanet with admin rights?
Perhaps you need to add a exception for ManiaPlanet to your security suite...

I tried now with Admin, didnt help. (read my edit to the previous post btw). Also the difference from the standalone and when I open it on Steam is that on Steam I get the message of Key Registration Failed, but on Maniaplanet I dont (I just get the effects :D ).

Hm I would say you should reinstall the standalone version, this time using admin rights...

and in the meantime, you could try libwebp.dll and libwebp_a.dll

If you really did nothing else, this is probably a sign that some security program is blocking it.
During installation and first start, it probably runs with admin rights, right?
And later it does not. And if it then tries to modify something on the system (like registry keys, settings, files under c:\ProgramData, etc.) the security mechanism gets active.

Let's do a deep check.
Windows Defender enabled or disabled? If you have an alternative antivirus, it should be disabled to avoid conflicts.
Windows Firewall configured properly for ManiaPlanet? Eventually remove all entries for ManiaPlanet and try again. Windows Firewall might also be disabled if you have a more complete security suite.
Which antivirus software do you have? Avast, F-Secure and others are known to often cause similar trouble together with ManiaPlanet.

I'm using Avast. Still doesnt make sense since I havent had this problem before, only the past two days. For the record ive launched the game twice now through Steam and it's worked both times..
