Hi,

Maybe the effect is less drastic when there are lots of players connected ( read : Royal, Instagib, Battle ) but in Elite when 1 player laggs, then all players will feel it.
Having snap over 75/80 results in a bad gaming experience.

So what's ur experience with this? You like it? Or?

Also: snapmax = 100 on the MM-servers, but I never saw anyone getting kicked.
So how does this snapmax work? A little information would be welcome NADEO.

If it's not the netcode or the hitbox, lags are the first issue of the game.

I don't have a 144hz but to my point of vue, having snap over 50 results in a bad gaming experience.
Having netvision over 10 too.

That's the real point, because with a snap over 80 the game is just broke.

A real snapmax of 60 could maybe reduce the dead games.

Also if a lot of players rush it's not only because all the people don't find the best strategy to counter it.
It's because rushers don't die when they are supose to die.

The lag issue is such important that experienced players use "tricks" about it.
We have to adapt ur play to it but.. we are not supose to do that.
Btw, lag create frustration..

Hylis explained "how work" the hitbox and the lag issue.
I don't want to be negative but i'm just saying that the way it works i'm having a good game experience in 10% of my games.. (naaa it's not because i win 10% :p) and that i'm hoping for years some solutions..

I don't know if the solutions will come from the code or from the servers but yeah.. we need solutions.. plz ?

If one or more players lags, then i can feel it immediately, because my rockets/laser doesn't hit as before. So i'm not a experienced player. :lol:

Maybe there is too much compensation or something.

Anyways we should ask NADEO nicely to decrease the impact of 1 player on the general connection/lag.
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

Btw it's not only the aim who is crush by the lag, it's also the movements..

Never seen any snapshot limitation or improvement with snapshot max... netcode still fucking weird

Wow, 90-120 is standard for me, so it looks like SM needs network faster than 10 Mbps.
My Gamemodes:
MP4 - Countdown, Firefight
MP3 - Reduction, Overload, Flashpoint, Territory, SM Race, Escape
MP2 - Search & Destroy, Oscillation, Instagib

I'm playing with a player who got a bad connection ( 100ko/s (kbp/s) )
on a popular server,
I got : 20 ping and 70 snap.
When he is not here, I got 15 ping and 60-70 snap.
With 476ko/s (kbp/s)
