[Troubleshooting] Shootmania crashes on startup

So after about half a year I decided that I will give this game one more try. I have played little bit over 60 hours back in the day. Downloaded the steam version,launched it, set the setting etc... no problem here, I then proceed to click Play. The game launches as it should (1600x900 in a window) but after about 4 seconds in just crashes. No bug report no log no nothing. The same thing happens with Mania planet launcher from the official website.

note: I have tried turning off firewall, launching it as admin,XP compatibility mode, verifying integrity of game cache etc...
note n.2: I reinstalled my PC about a week ago so I think there is a problem with DX or something like that. If anyone knows what I need to install please tell me.

About the missing changelog, there is an version of ManiaPlanet which provides an extended crashlog. You can download it here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=28272#p220416.

Well. I downloaded the file. Placed it in Shootmania folder. Launched... and the game freaking works DD I have no idea why. Normal .exe file still causes it to crash. And steam version still crashes. But this one works

It's probably your firewall or security suite settings which are blocking ManiaPlanet.exe
Because the debug version has a different name, and is (not yet) blacklisted in your system...

Carefully check your firewalls (also the advanced Windows firewall settings).
