The name is freelook, because it was introduced for Shootmania.
After chase's release, they also introduced Look Behind Cam and mapped it on the same key, so it ends up with one and the same name and button, for two features in two different games.

Ah Ok. Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I don't play Shootmania and the only freelook I'd heard of was the one in TM that puts you way above the map.

Haven't read the whole topic, so some of these might've already been mentioned  :

Please make adjustable default settings to some of the features in Trackmania, such as:
1. Cars turned off(or ghosts=on) by default when launching the game and joining the server.
2. Possibility to add the custom cameras/angles.
3. If you will keep the "Legacy browser", please make it possible to set it as the default one, so that there's no need to switch between them every time.
4. Possibility to set your "favorite" title in the settings so that we don't have to go make unnecessary clicks after every launch of the game.
5. Changing the team names ingame (acer vs dignitas instead of Blue vs Red, etc)

Also: would be great if it was possible to remove the offline servers from the favorites list ingame.

ShootMania- Return all of these awesome blocks!

Extension or script: The "self-learning AI bots" for the shooter Storm.

Implementation of the title or the server pack for beginners. To training movements in the "obstacle".
For example: How to make the rocket jump on the walls?

Believe me, if more players will know some possibilities of the storm, the gameplay will be much more pleasant.
It is also possible that the attendance will increase, too.

TrackMania- Presentation of the new environment, the Lagoon on this year!

Adding the "Report button" in the ManiaPlanet for instant analysis and sending Bug Reporting or game's crash.

I've got 3 wishes in this post and all of them can be implemented independent of each other but they all belong to the same topic: Making is easier and more pleasant to create K-Projekts. I think that the first one and the third one are only a couple lines of code. The second one is probably a bit more work.

Wish #1: Auto save all replays. And an option to turn it on/off.

This would make it a lot more pleasant to create videos like this. Without having to save every replay manually you can focus on driving. I imagine this feature to work like this: When the option is turned off the game auto saves replays like normally: Only the fastest time gets saved the Autosaves folder. When the option is turned on every replay you drive is saved in a sub folder structure in the Autosaves folder like this: ".../Autosaves/*mapName*/*time*/*timestamp*.Replay.Gbx". This structure would allow for an easy selection of the replays you want (f.e. you only want the fastest times in a range of one tenth of a second). DNF replays should have "DNF" as time so that they are also in one folder.

If that wasn't clear enough and you don't know what I mean, here are two examples: 1 | 2

Wish #2: Selecting a replay by clicking on the car in the media tracker editor.

When you drove a bunch of replays chances are that one of them is doing something else (is too far behind or too far to the side). If you want to remove this one, the only way to do it right now, is to check every single replay manually to find the correct one that you are looking for and then remove it. Now, if you have a lot (let's say 100 or even 1000) replays, this can be very exhausting. So it would be awesome if you could just click on the car you want to edit or remove and it becomes selected so you can edit or remove it directly.

Wish #3: Select the same skins for all replays.

K-Projects are often made by multiple drivers. And it is very likely that they have different skins, so it would be really nice to be able to set the same skin for all replays that are opened in the media tracker editor.

Let's hope these can make it into the game! :3

I'm not sure whether that's possible... well, it's is possible, but I don't know whether it's that easy to make:
Would it be possible to get a bit away from the grid in the editor?
Not with every block but for example don't place trees on a grid or let us make Powerpaths/Runpads/"however-you-want-to-call-them-blocks" and these dirt paths like in Sim City/Cities Skylines (example)/... . This would give the maps a bit more "uniqueness".
Of course some of the blocks need/should stay in the grid, like the square stone blocks (the basic ground), etc. Just give us some more possibilities in the editor.
Just noticed that I was only thinking about ShootMania here, but that would be possible with TM, too: Making streets like in Cities Skylines, or placing some decorations/pilars/... out of grid.

OR:

Experimental Feature (Like Airmapping/Ghostblocks):
Disable blockgrid?

A new suggestion for me:

- Adding a search function on the home screen like Windows's Modern UI.
|--> Without clicking anywhere, you type a letter and only results having this letter are shown (the same for many letters)
- Come back of the old Canyon menu music. this one
- Replace the main font by the same one vectorized.
- Create an ingame tool allowing us to design items like Blender, but also allowing us to place and adjust game's textures on it.

Why ? This would avoid loosing time looking for a specific titlepack.
