[Maniaplanet - Connection] HD Textures failing to download

Post by Boo425 »

What is the bug? When attempting to download the HD textures for Canyon, Shootmania, Valley the first file will download 540kb-3mb then reset to 0kb again.

How can I reproduce it? Activate High Definition in the launcher then launch maniaplanet then click on a station to prompt it to update.

What is supposed to happen? The files should download without an issue.

-Side note-
This bug is recurring for me and I'm not sure if it's my client or internet since the Low definition files downloaded fine.
Crashing happily since 2009.

Did you try to disable your antivirus for the time of the download?
Is the place for downloads for IE (possibily also c:\windows\temp) large enough?

Perhaps the server is also busy, you might try it later again.

This is a recurring problem for me and I reported it previously when it first occured after I reinstalled maniaplanet after a my hard drive died (Previous report:viewtopic.php?f=264&t=28294, symptons are the same except I can load into maniaplanets home screen because the LD textures and models were downloaded successfully).

I have tried before with the firewall disabled, but I have no clue about the temp folder, since I don't like to mess around with windows too much.
Crashing happily since 2009.
