it isn't that hard to code it, but it's effective and would make fun i guess
KO script would be also fun for cups :)

btw a negative argumant for this mode would be this:
Imagine 50 players are driving on the server and after 49 rounds 1 game is over, what are doing the other 40 players, while the last 10 players fight for the win? btw this reminds me to the last track on the tmn solo mode, where you have to drive 50 rounds with this epic music :D

3 ways I can see... either get sent to lobby (like Chase), forced to spectator mode. (locked), or kicked off server.

Btw, just an idea...(From Hover Car Racer)
The gate race

Have a map with many routes, multiple CPs (50+ CPs spread across the map).
Points for CPs further away from Starting/finishing point are higher.

With a server defined time limit. (Based on map size, or just user defined, but impossible to go through all CPs), drivers must go through at least 1 and as much CPs as possible, rack up as much points, then finish within the time span. Anyone that times out gets DNF'ed (and 0 points)

Backspace = respawn from start (But points deducted like stunt for each respawn)
Delete = retire (spec from random waypoints) or start from 0 points again.

add-on: I should really go asking about changing my username here from N_A_N_A (TM1 login) -> N/A (Nick I use in TM1 and TM2) sometime...

I was thinking of an Endurance gamemode, something like rounds mode but a little bit different.


ENDURANCE / LAST CAR STANDING

- Have a multi-lap map. There are infinite laps.
- Everyone starts driving.
- If you crash or your speed gets to zero (I assume speed detection is possible) you are out of the game.
- The winner is the last one standing.

Basically the one that can last longer without crashing is the winner. It would be fun to see how it would work :D

There is already an Endurance mode on Maniapark (http://www.maniapark.com/ressource.php?id=1341)
There you don't get forced into spectator when your speed is 0, but when you are too far aways from the leader. (You see a Countdown running when you have to pass the next CP in order to not get kicked)

If you do it with the amount of speed, you can always drive donuts and you will never get kicked.

That's why, it would be easier to eliminate the worst driver every CP after first complete lap.

MP4 - Countdown, Firefight
MP3 - Reduction, Overload, Flashpoint, Territory, SM Race, Escape
MP2 - Search & Destroy, Oscillation, Instagib

I remember one mode, that I forgot.

Radar Mode [How in NFS]

Rules very easy:
- When you ride through a checpoint, you get a score.
- Scores = your car speed.
- Who earn more scores, win a race.

I think, that this will be good mode. A long time ago have this dream.

Regarding the KO-mode:
I would love to see the old version from TM1 (I think it was from FAST controller), which is like cup mode:
- Map change after x rounds (no multilap maps)
- Every round last player or first to retire is out
I know, this is only useful for competitions and not for casual play, but I would love to make such a competition in dirt, which has never been done in the past (only tech or True Talent Cup atm, by TMM)
