[MP3 - Steam] Blank player connects when people play games

While playing on the steam version of Stadium I noticed that every time one of my friends starts playing a (non-maniaplanet) game, maniaplanet would give the "connected to the game" message.
The message just shows up as: "[blank] connected to the game" while no new friends have connected to MP
