hmmmm, maybe its time for a Trackmania Turbo forum or at least a Trackmania Turbo section on this forum.
Lots of questions are going out of the scope of maniaplanet / Trackmania 2

I think for them it's a matter of workload distribution. They bring a game for console and also want to release it for the PC playerbase. It's a financial decision as much as it is a decision to reach out for the fans of the franchise I guess.

My interpretation is that this is their "console baby", so they'll work on this one as a sepparate game with its sepparate identity aimed at consoles. It might be confusing if you put it next to maniaplanet but technically its not so hard to understand that they can sepparate workload and criteria with this game.

Now they have these 2 workpools. One for maniaplanet, one for turbo. And turbo has it's own technical distinctions that are catering for console users with the nice trait that PC users can also play it.

You could say it's the "definite trackmania 2", But it's the console port that maniaplanet isn't.

It will have it's unique livingroom capabilities such as random track generator and "big screen menu" accessibility with controller, all these tiny difference that make a console game easy to play.

Come to think of it, I kinda wonder if it will also natively support the steamcontroller on PC.

The Turbo community will normally be hosted on the Ubisoft forums, not here. I'm communicating with the Ubisoft team to sort this out quickly

I'm not sure if I'm understanding this right.

Does Trackmania Turbo include a updated Valley/Canyon with better graphics + more blocks etc.?
Or is Trackmania 2 Stadium/Valley/Canyon + new Lagoon + without Maniaplanet = Trackmania Turbo?

I feel really retarded right now, I'm just not getting it.

Lagoon will release only next year on Maniaplanet, to take time to adapt content at best.

Why should I buy Trackmania Turbo then if I already have Stadium/Valley/Canyon? Or will Lagoon Maniaplanet not be available next year as a standalone?
