How to close the windows on server? Can't ride good with them

On some server controllers F8/F7 hide the most important part of the "hud" or sometimes all of it.
On controllers like eXpansion you can right click and set up the elements you wish to see.
If none works you can use * to make everything disappear, you will however loose chat.
