Canyon Online Multiplayer Issue
So, i have recently purchased TM2 Canyon and i've been loving the game so far. The only issue i have is the online, in that im unsure how to get it to work exactly. I tried making a lobby and inviting a friend but that didn't work and it said something about my NAT type. Is there a tutorial post i could look at to solve this? I tried looking for one on here but no-go so far..

You can look at the technical document to get information about the server creation: http://doc.maniaplanet.com/dedicated-server/index.html

it seems to me, you want to do this:
1. Select MULTIPLAYER

2. Select CREATE

3. Change the SERVER PARAMETERS (Game name, comment, Game mode, ...) and select LAUNCH

4. Select a PLAYLIST or choose between OFFICAL MAPS, MY MAPS (your own) or DOWNLOADED MAPS

4a. You can save your map selection (e.g. My Settings.txt) and next time it will show up in the playlist window.

You can find your own playlist here (Windows 8.1): "C:\Users\windows_username\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Maps\MatchSettings\"
5. If your computer is behind a router with a firewall, you probably get this warning, else your server should start right now.

5a. If you get the NAT warning, you´ll have to forward some ports (default ports 2350 and 3450) to the computer running Maniaplanet. Please consult the user manual of your router and look for "port forwarding", "virtual server" or simply "NAT"
Kind regards!

These are my Maniaplanet network settings (default):nereus502 wrote: I forwarded the ports.. and the NAT type message still comes up
Maniaplanet Launcher/CONFIGURE/Advanced/Network (tab)

Please check your Maniaplanet settings, maybe something (especially the ports) has been altered?
If you use a 3rd party software firewall, maybe you have to manually add / open the forwarded ports in the software firewall, too.
Kind regards!
