Just bought all TM2 via steam > can't activate [solved]

Hello,

I just bought TM2 Valley, Canyon and Stadium via Steam, created an account on ManiaPlanet and now I am continously getting this error when logging in: "Key Registration failed. Internal Error"
Ingame I am stuck with demo mode. If I try to manually enter my key I get the same error message. No matter what edition of the game I try it in.

I used the search function but none of the threads that described this problem did solve my case.

Can I please get help regarding this? I mean, if I paid for this I would like to have the full version and not a 48 hours demo version. lol

Did you try this:
Right click on Trackmania in your Steam library and click show key, copy this key.
Launch the game, if you are able to get into the demo of the game after the error go to profile and there is a place to input the key there.

Close and restart the game and Steam - try now.

There is no need to manually copy the keys.
Normally, the keys are registered automatically by Steam, at the first starts of Maniaplanet, at least after a account was created. You might need to close Maniaplanet and Steam as well and start again, as nighthawk4571 already proposed, this works in most cases.

If the registration does not work, then your firewall has probably blocked Maniaplanet, also because it checks online for updates...

I have already tried manually pasting the key with the method you mentioned nighthawk.
I did also try to restart my whole pc but it didnt change anything.
Also I did try to disable my windows firewall and it still didnt help.
I have read that this problem solved itself in the past for some users. Ill try it again in a hour when im back home and hope... :/

I use windows 7 64bit
Intel i7 4770k
geforce 770gtx 4gb
16gb ram
Avira antivirus and standard windows firewall(tried disabling them already though)

Please check if Defender is still running, and add Maniaplanet as exception there.

I just tried it and as I expected in my last post: it did just work. My copy was activated once I started the game. I just got a message saying my game is already activated when I tried to activate it manually.

I really wonder why it happens to take 12-24 hours for so many people until the activation works but whatever... As long as I can play I'm happy haha.
