no Solution because:
1. not a Windows 10 Problem
2. not a ManiaPlanet Problem
The Game runs fine on my System and on many others since Win10 was launched, so the error is at your side to searching for.

Re: Extreme lag in Windows 10 [BUG] [IMPORTANT]
If a game does run on your system, it doesnt mean it will run properly on each system.speedychris wrote:no Solution because:

There are so many varaties in systems, like for example your videocard !
So if someone still has a problem with WINDOWS 10, he or she can report it here in this topic, so other people or even NADEO can help to resolve the issue. The more players, the more fun!

Re: Extreme lag in Windows 10 [BUG] [IMPORTANT]
The last image HaagseSmurf shows is something which is standard. Got the same settings in the new AMD driver.HaagseSmurf wrote:Today i did a clean install (first removed the old Catalyst and all of his components) of the new Radeon Crimson 15.11 AMD driver (http://www2.ati.com/drivers/radeon-crim ... -64bit.exe) for my AMD R9 290 card.
After that i changed my shadersettings to Very Nice and the lag i had before in this setting is gone !!!
With the new Radeon software you can easily adjust your settings for each game, Maniaplanet included.
I have tried if running shadercache on the 3 differents moods (off, optimised for AMD, on) did had any effect, but i didnt notice any big difference.
Maybe its the clean install or its the new Radeon software. Until now the problem seems to be solved for me.
I hope it also works for others!
Good luck !
However i believe it might be a bug in switching between menu's in the titlepacks. Normally i have a 100+ fps but in switching screens i get a fps drop off by 80% to 10-20 fps. When ingame i get a loss of 40%.
However, in the maniaplanet_logs there is no where to be seen what makes this lag occur except for the DX9 callbacks.
The are logged this way:
Code: Select all
[Dx9] We've computed 718Mb alloc, 3 386Mb free, 2 344Mb gpu free.
[Dx9] 333 Textures wanting 565Mb, 5 Surfaces using 36Mb, 565Mb actually allocated.
[Dx9] Vertexs+Indexs used: 52Mb (86% of vertexs, 1 195 vBuffs + 1 531 iBuffs)
[Dx9] Vertexs_Packed : 27Mb (60%)
[Dx9] Vertexs_Sprites: 5Mb (10%)
[Dx9] 98 Overlay Textures using 117Mb.
