Hey!
I usually do some tests for a friend on TrackMania, could someone make a Cornell Box object for all environments?
It usually consists of a box with a red wall, a green one on the other side, a glass sphere and another sphere on the side with a solid white color.
I would recomend googling if you still have no idea on what it looks like.
Im pretty sure its possible and easy to do.

I don't see the use of that for Trackmania
What do you intend to do?

Well, my friend usually sends me a few Ambient Occlusion and Indirect Lighting tests.TMarc wrote:I don't see the use of that for Trackmania![]()

I was going to use the Cornell box to test the Indirect Lighting part of the shader, so we can see how much color bleeds into the spheres + the car, this would be the only way to do since you cant use Shader wrappers on 3D modelling/render software

Still I don't get why you want to do that.
If you want realistic rendering, I recommend you to use something else than a game like Trackmania.

You know ENB? ReShade is like a universal ENB, i would use that object just to demo a few of the stuff you can do with it.
Here's a subtle demonstration of the effect (Look at how the pink color of the car bleeds on the car's tires:

The cornell box would be used to demonstrate those sorts of effects, but the results would be more visible.

Re: [OBJ REQUEST] Cornell Box
Ahm a Cornell Box will not help at all imo. Why? Because a glass sphere isn´t a glass sphere ingame, the light will not get a realistic "light braking/shading", glass material is just half transparent without any visual effect (chrome effect / lens a bit) as a real glass sphere will have it.
The color bleeding will be visible with a box but it can be adjusted a bit with the textures (alpha channels etc.), so in my opinion a cornell box will not help you that much as you expect it
The ingame rendering is far away from real renderers... (in shootmania it´s a little better than in the other tm titles)

Re: [OBJ REQUEST] Cornell Box
Interesting screenshot, thanks for that
Actually, the Maniaplanet renderer uses something like radiosity (there is some post or even a topic about lightmap calculation), but it is not used for rendering the cars, as they are dynamically inserted.
If Fix or LuckyBoy (Nadeo devs) read this topic, they might want to give a better answer here

You should google for presets, there's plenty of stuff it can do.TMarc wrote:Interesting screenshot, thanks for that![]()

Also, i just tought people would find modelling the box easier, hence why i requested, i didn't expect that much questions.
Atleast you guys now know my intentions with it.
