The extra modes (some) could be scripted.. the Double Driver might have to be coded directly into the game... but if that's the case, I'd rather them not add that until later so we can have the environment sooner.

Thoughts?
I feel like Double Driver is a "casual" feature especially for Turbo, just for people to have fun with, and that it won't make it over to Maniaplanet.

+1

My heart won't be broken if they don't focus on bringing that over.

Yes, that's certainly what they'll do unfortunately :(

Double Driver isn't important for me. You're right Miss, it's certainly an exclusive feature for consoles but why not adjust Double Driver for multiplayer mode ? :D. I imagine 8 teams with 2 players each. The team with the best records win the match.

I don't expect all features in 1 big update and I don't expect all features either.
But putting the 4 environnements together in 1 game is for me the better thing to do.

interesting idea, but then suddenly Trackmania would have all the timinig issues ShootMania has until now. ;)

Because currently, even on Multiplayer, Trackmania is not really multiplayer. Everyone is racing on his (ok, for Miss: on her :) ) own, and the times taken on checkpoints and at the finish count and decide of the rank.
How many times did you start "like anybody else", happy of your 1st rank at the first run, and suddenly you fall back to 10th or worse position? (of course except riolu  )

If you would add double driver as real multiplayer thing across the Internet with tens or hundreds of ms ping delay, steering "together" might be almost fine, somehow inaccurate, frustratingly weird, up to totally impossible.

I think that to be good & fair, double driver really makes sense only on console or on PC with two controllers connected.

The day we have light speed internet with 1ms ping wherever you are on the world, then, only then, perhaps multiplayer double driver would be nice ;)

Will ManiaPlanet welcome a titlepack like TMT with
- 4 environnements together
- ManiaScript
- 3D / 2D Skins
- MediaTracker
Like the Trackmania² Title Pack already available on the ingame Store (almost, since Lagoon isn't out yet on Maniaplanet but you see the point)?

As there was the post that TMT will have a different solo system, I just wanted to ask this again.

I just wanted to ask, if this one is still planned to be done in the future as for now, I don't see any reason in playing the solo mode if you lack time and don't want to wait for one hour to get 10 tries.

I am currently work with konte on a titlepack with a own solomode etc with all enviroments together. This titlepack is already "Lagoon ready". The menu etc. are running allmost with maniascript, things like the editor or local play are "hardcoded" by nadeo (atm)^^.

At the very moment, it's not a priority, so i can't give an answer yet ^^

+100

Maybe it's time to start another discussion thread about the timer again... is anyone playing solo mode in TM2 besides getting medals? I quit trying to play for times because of that timer.. I'd like to see it go away for both TMT and TM2. But if people want to discuss it again, we need to start a new thread.

Yes, it's almost that.

- Will you add also the textures, stickers, solo maps and objects of TrackMania Turbo ? I really like the feeling of being in an international competition.
- Will you make a menu that promote custom gamemodes like Chase Mode, Pursuit, etc... in order to filter the server list by gamemodes ?
