Hi All,
I am in the process of putting together and making a world record attempt event happen. Nadeo have kindly agreed to support. Something we are looking for is some custom Trackmania tracks being done. These being privately done and only being available at the event itself. The event taking place in the Manchester area UK. Looking for sponsor logos being on track boards and also perhaps car decals as well. Part of the world record attempt will be Trackmania titles being played. Is there anyone out there that can help at all please? If so please PM me and we can take things from there.

I can build one or more maps for you but I need more information about how the tracks should be (type, length, difficulty ..) and what they must have (intro, sign, podium ...).

been a while since i last built a track, but i'm willing to give it a go.
Just let me know which environment and the tracklength.
(and if the track has to be respawnable from start to finish)

With your experience and knowledge. May I ask what you'd suggest and recommend please? Hopefully we can then take things from there.

It depends on how good the players will be. If it's their 1st play, you need short and easy tracks (like the A serie). If they played the game for years, longer and more technical maps are needed.

Re: World Record Attempt Event UK
The current world record made in 2009 is 274 people and for 40 hours. The goal being for 400 people and for 48 hours. You maybe thinking the like of i-series or dreamhack could do this with ease. True am sure but the record not being with them. With the duration being a real test of stamina. Not all will be playing Trackmania titles. I would say skill wise will be mixed. So with this in mind, being what you can perhaps suggest or help with please?

Ok, I've understood.
I'll try to build 9 maps in total, 3 in each environements. One short and easy (~20s long), one long and technical (~1mn long) and one last in the middle of the other (medium length and difficulty, ~40s long).
I will send you in PM 3 demo maps to know if it's what you seek.

well, if it's going to be rounds i think the main factor should be finishability (if that's a word) which means respawns and connected finish are a must.apachelanadmin wrote:With your experience and knowledge. nothing worse than having to wait for the timer while everyone missed the finish except for 1 person currently afk or driving circles on the grass.
However, if it's going to be a time attack competition it's all a matter of who finishes the best time in a certain amount of time. With that playstyle, tracks don't need to be connected that much as ppl will be respawning to start over after messing up anyways.
Depending on the deadline i am also willing to roll out a track for all 3 environments. (or, if ubi/nadeo is rolling out the rollercoaster lagoon TM2 environment prior to the competition: all 4 environments

and i'll probably roll out tracks with an average length of 42-46 seconds.

No date set yet. So no deadline really within reason. I am in talks with a film company. I am having a meeting with them today. So what you have suggested, doing what you can would be great please
please PM me details
