if i can help out a child in pain anywhere in the world by playing videogames/sharing my expertise/doing what i like, there's not a lot of 2nd thoughts necessary. There's also been several projects/lanparties for KiKa, a dutch trust for kid's cancer, there's been live youtube/twitch streams doing the same for local organisations as well.
There's just a lot of goodwill among gamers in general.

Nadeo kindly provided me with a couple of direct and specific sites.
they probably pointed you to tools, serverpackages etc, the links i provided have thriving communities that can help with specifics (and application of those specific tools nadeo/ubisoft provided) while you can keep your focus on organisation.
the links i provided were also based on the requests you made in the 1st post.
Looking for help and support with the world load for making the event happen.
that's still way too vague ^^
chop it up in smaller blocks so people can check if they have the expertise to help you out in those areas.

It's me simply trying to be understanding. That not everyone in the world may have heard of Teenage Cancer Trust, that's all.

Nope Nadeo kindly provided me with direct and specific links for where I may find help and support. The links you provided being too vague and none specific so sorry to say.

With the interest here being for Nadeo and Trackmania titles. Both for the event and the Nadeo and Trackmania community. I am keeping things specific for them in mind.

the links i provided are THE communities you need to get the content you want.
This whole project is heading towards a failure if you keep it up as is.

Titles themselves don't mean anything at all if you don't go to those sites and ask for content.
A title is merely the game. If you want racetracks, ask trackbuilders, if you want carskins, ask skinners, if you want billboards, ask graphic artists etc etc.

forum.maniaplanet.com isn't a 1 stop shop
The only reason why i replied to this post was because i accidentally stumbled upon a tweet by maniaplanet.. other trackbuilders will simply skip the entire project, especially with the upcoming release of TrackmaniaTurbo
(which isn't a maniaplanet title) a lot of trackbuilders will stay away from this forum due to that

Yep,

And, like you BLiNNeMaNS, I've answer to this post because I saw a tweet from NADEO about this project. They said you were slooking for trackbuilders. I could never found this topic if this tweet didn't exist.

And I'll join again BLi for your "searching skills". You should go around community websites and other forums to find partners that will help you.

I am simply going ahead with what Nadeo has suggested and recommend to me that's all.

so as it happens, thanks to a tweet (and not your post) you gained 2 people willing to help.

Due to you being so stubborn when suggestions are made, you just lost 1 of the 2 trackbuilders (me).

well, your entire approach to involving the trackmania community has been an unguided missile so far.

As a veteran community manager (3+yrs experience as moderator on tm-exchange, the biggest trackmania community site, 41k+ members) i've seen my share of failed projects. I've tried my best to give you pointers on how to involve the trackmania community and pointed you towards the locations of the biggest communities on the web.

As a veteran trackbuilder (building since 2003, multiple tracks of mine used in several competitions including the ESL, several best of the week, month and even classic tracks) i offered to build tracks for your project. and provided detailed info on the 2 types of competitive modes and the types of tracks you'd need. This would've potentially boosted the amount of submitted tracks plus it could've triggered more veteran builders to get involved.

I've also tried to convince you (*with no avail) your expectations of what nadeo/ubisoft can do for you are wrong.
It's the community you need to tackle.

Anyways, if that's not what you consider helping i'm glad i quit the project.

To be honest the only way you have come across is negative, nothing positive.

I'm not sure that your negative comment about Nadeo/Ubisoft are good.

You never started to help with the project. Only gave negative comments, so you haven't quit anything.
