Yes, those segments seems to be very random on straight driving. Best example is map #28. Is author of this map is able to drive it straight most of times when he try it? It should be one of easiest things on loops (I mean straight loop with just straight driving) and it seams to be almost impossible (I'm wall/loop maps author from Canyon and I have some experience how can works loops with less grip than in stadium).
In my opinion there are missing 2 very important segments for those loops. There should be 2 gap closers, both when you connect those loops segments in 90 degrees (see in screen). One to be able to close it from up (to have possible to drive on ceiling and one to drive on side. With current physics they are necessary to be able to build some nice working walls and loops. It looks like this wasn't tested too much.

I hope you will add at least this gap closer from ceiling, this will make those loops segments much more useful for building loops.

But please - new blocks that makes using blocks with bad physics possible, is not a solution, it's workaround. We should stay focused on reporting bad physics now, before it will be too late.
Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
Exactly rat_in_car, it would be a restriction to do like that, it needs a fix.

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
Thank you. I'm wonder what someone from Nadeo think about it. I'm sure that we'll get answer very soon, right? :) You don't leave unanswered posts with bugreports like before on Canyon and other TM2 envs? Fix it please before is too late.
Also, physics on road loops is crappy too, very much, but at least sometimes I can drive them good (and random just sometimes).

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
I agree, road loops are sometimes resulting in unpredictable car behavior, the wooden loops are sometimes even worse. There's one tip I can give you which might help you clear those wooden loops like in #028 more consistently. Once you notice your car pulling to one side, immediately try to countersteer into the other direction to straighten out your car again. It is quite hard and does need some attempts to get a feeling for it, but that's at least one way to somehow avoid flying off the loops for no apparent reason.
Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
I like how car acts on those wooden segments, only thing is this straight loop that seems to be random, but still sometimes it's possible. Maybe it's a matter of practice. My problem is that I can't really try it because I normally play on pad on right stick, and here I can't do that
So far on kb I didn't menage to drive this loop good. I just hope that Nadeo will make those gap closers, with them many loops can be build much better.

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
Sayotoshi - if you're using Logitech gamepad, then you can change left analog to right in "Logitech Profiler" tool.
Right Stick X-Axis -> Axis Properties -> "Right Stick X-Axis mapped to": Left Stick X-Axis
Works perfect. I'm using right analog to steering.
Believe me - I spend some time to figure out that loops and with or without pad - it's the same random and impossible. It's like finding workaround "how to made this game playable by using some tricks". In TM the only tricks I accept are the ones who has sense and are designed - like airbrake (designed) or island noslide (has sense). Trick that you cannot accept is "if you want to drive straight, you must turn left or right or just have luck". It's not a trick, it's like using broken gamepad to play game and learn how to use this broken gamepad anyway instead of repair or buy new one.

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
Well if you think those tricks are random and don't make sense, TM is not the right game for you.
Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
thx for tip with logitech controller, now I could try it with pad
Well I'm sorry but it looks like it's possible to control. Very hard for sure but this is new environment so natural that it's hard. In Canyon straight loop is working exactly same but easier to control in Lagoon should be also possible to learn.
Ok, now I can play with pad (not my ps4
but still it's a pad) and I hope that soon will be patch and I'll be able to use my ps4 pad.
P.S.: Nadeo please make those gap closers, at least for MP release of Lagoon, big please.

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
I learn how to drive infamous "loop of death" in Canyon beta, which I like, because was possible (even if was hard). I made few maps with this element that other players don't like so much (and everyone says that they hate these loops). I learn how to handle all other loops in all TM games, I loved vertical Island roads, I really can figure out how to play. After many years of playing TM I can say what is random and what is just hard. I am not novice player.acceleracer_01 wrote:Well if you think those tricks are random and don't make sense, TM is not the right game for you.
It's not real "random" of course, because I bet that every run car ends in the same place (in water in case my map). By "random" I mean "has no sense". Physics in car racing game, even arcade and crazy like TM, should have sense. Of course I'll try but I think most of players react on these loops exactly like they react on Canyon big "loop of death" (that from Canyon box cover) - you do not find even one map on online servers with that loop and players refuse to play with such "hard to learn" element. If hard but nice "loop of death" was that big problem, then much worse wooden lagoon loops will be even bigger problem for players.
Or just please load my map (if it's possible from external file) and try yourself, if you think that I'm bad player and you're master who know how to drive.
