Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
Ok, we should end that OT. Truth is that wooden loops should be changed (physics). Truth is that we spoke here about that fact, but I think that someone from Nadeo crew should write something. TMarc - can you to contact someone and please, PLEASE ask someone to answer? What is the point of writing posts if nothing will be changed because some programmer says that "we made it this way and we never admit that we make it wrong"?

I personnally have nothing against very slippy wooden blocks, but if we have to upgrade the grip a little bit to avoid those uncontrolable things during a looping would be good.

rat_in_car I can understand your frustration, but it also does not help to beg for developers opinion several times a day
Not defending them, but besides the much more urgent crash issues some have, and the controller issues,
they are preparing for the Gamers Assembly which will take place next weekend.
As always we need to be patient, that's all I can say.

Last time I was patience for 5 years and bug was still unfixed. What can I say more?TMarc wrote:As always we need to be patient, that's all I can say.
Of course is my right to ask about bugs. It's not rude to ask, it's rude to not answering.

I really think the Hylis big novel was the only answer they could give us. I don't expect any big answer soon.

Re: [BUG] Lagoon wood loops are totally random
So all this discussion is pointless. They're type of programmers who thinks that they never made a mistakes and everything working as it should. If game crashes - they made that beautiful crashes on purpose. If loops works bad - they works this way as it should. It's like people who made their first maps - crazy jumps right before end of road, 20 turbos before 180 degree turn and they think that they do it right, because it is so funny and people for sure will try this map until not learn. But we call these maps just bad ones. And no matter how tricky and "unexpected" that wooden lagoon loops were to be, I call them just bad. And I'm not the only one.

Yo,
I was playing a little in editor to check what I can do and what I can't do. For me those blocks are good but not for straight driving. They working well when you driving on it with low angle (max around 45-60 degrees I think).
And maybe to make straight loops to be more drivable enough would be to make bigger segments for loops (easy thing to test in my opinion), like in Canyon 1x2x2 or 1x3x3. That should make straight loops much better to control, now when you drive on this small loop segment forces that working on car are to big for grip that car have. I hope that Nadeo will make those extras 2 or 4 segments for wooden loops + gap closes and there will be possible to build many drivable kinds of loops.

Wooden platforms are nice even now. I was only talking about loops. Small fix /improvement for them and everything will be much better.
