questions regarding hylis statement

Post by Roman42 »

i love your game, its a mix between darda and lego and im totally addicted. i cant stop fiddling around with this game. its simply wonderful.

now you can imagine, that im reading hylis statement with mixed feelings.

hylis tells us, that if we want the real trackmania, we should forget trackmania turbo and buy a pc to play the old version of the game. thats insane. completeley insane. tmt is just a teaser for the pc game? it's "polished"? so it needs no work anymore? any improvements goes into the old pc game? and your are telling this frankly to your customers? thats crazy! if i wouldnt love this game so much, id never buy anything from nadeo again.

but i love this game and will buy any overpriced dlc you'll ever release, just please do it! :)

and one more thing: we should all stop releasing tracks to the public until they allow us to give them a name.
again, the statement of the company is incredibly crazy.. names generate moderation work and they dont want to put work into the console game... thanks a lot for taking our money...

Well, the goal to get players to Maniaplanet are failed, if I check the statistics from Maniaviewer.
The "PC-Version" failed too, my last "check" on Turbo was last week and I went into the online mode and I had the feeling it has almost the same numbers of onlineplayer like canyon in TM²^^

It's seems for console, especially the PS4 (1 million registed players  ), did nadeo/ubisoft a good job.
For XBoxOne, I just saw a streamer called "dodri8", there were last time around 300k (?) registed players, so still  .

My personal problem is now, we have 3 Trackmaniaplatforms - TM1, Maniaplanet, TMTurbo. If they would be way to "merge" all this platforms[...], but this is something, which is impossible now^^

What philosophy? Made something, name it "polished" or "not work in progress" and ignore customers comments? Release one small patch and forget players complains about rest of stuff? Philosophy that Hylis wrote his "statement" (more like monologue with no possibility to answer) or Creovan who asks for feedback about player page and do nothing when people answers? Or maybe philosophy completely ignoring bugreporting (not only on ManiaPlanet forum but also on dedicated Ubisoft technical support website etc.)?

It's exactly the same in TMT like in TM2/ManiaPlanet - people complain, Nadeo waits, doing nothing, not answer any questions (or almost not answer except not important and easy questions) and waits until people stop complaining.

You forgot to add that they come up with a new Environment or any other big patch for Maniaplanet all of a sudden and rince and repeat the whole stuff :roflol:

Other companys have clear plans for their releases and communicate them more with their community. Nadeo? They release stuff when they want to do it and don't care about our feedback at all.

TMT is over now. Just don't bother writing anything about bugs or sth because Nadeo will probably do nothing anymore.

Nearly. Additional money was flooded into the cash box of Ubisoft and Nadeo.
Now the story can continue... on the Maniaplanet :pop:

Show me one good console game where first version is "final version" and authors do not answer players questions.
