I was not speaking of Turbo.
But if Maniaplanet is so dead, what are you doing here still?
We can close the shop and completely stop participating here

Tmarc, it's not dead, but it isnt exactly alive either. Be happy that he's here and be happy I'm here too...
It's not because we stay that we think the game is perfect.

Anyways, you might be a mod, but replying 'why are u here' sounds a bit harsh to me.
Think of it like this : If nobody every complained, then Maniaplanet would be in an even worse state as it is now.

Also : There was not a single player online on SM MM before 16h today. Not 1 s i n g l e player. So it was definately dead before 16h and it should be said. Sorry :)

you do not need to apologize for presenting sad facts :thx:
Unless the online measurement has failed for some time ;)

It was only a simple question by curiosity.
Why is it harsh, compared to the supposed impression that "all is dead"?

Most of us are here to fight to keep our favorite games alive and not to celebrate its death.
If some think it is dead, this is really not the ideal direction.
So, please stop making the mood of grave diggers.

The games will be dead when Nadeo / Ubi chose to shut down all the master servers.
Not before.

Let's continue playing, and hope for the next updates.

ive thought about the "console game philosophy" and "polished" statements because i didnt understand them and now i suddenly got it: consoles are emotionally bound to cartridge based media to the trackmania devs. if they think "console", they think "super nintendo, mega drive" etc. :)

thats nice but wrong. we have cheap pcs made by sony or microsoft. they have internet and harddisks and all other devs are patching and improving their console games. just like they do it on real pcs.

All games made by Nintendo and for Nintendo systems. I have never heard about an "update" for the card ridge games and nearly 99% were well tested and only with minor bugs.

I read the statement after I pointed out bumpers cams are missing and I felt like I had a dialogue with the deaf. It reminds me of the iphone 4's antennagate. Steve Jobs just said customers are holding the phone the wrong way. Well at least Steve responded. ;)

Reading these discussions and complaints is nostalgic to me, it was the same 10 years ago :roflol:

I don't think what you should take out of what Hylis said is "don't play Trackmania Turbo, buy the old trackmania 2". What he's saying is that TMT is a kind of compilation / best of, and that they're happy with what they've done with it. And I'm pretty happy with it too so I'll keep playing that.

I have both TMT on PC and all environments for maniaplanet and I much prefer TMT, so don't worry, you don't have to buy a PC to enjoy Trackmania, you already have the best of it ;-)
