Dedicated server for all 3 Trackmania 2 titles

Is it possible to run a unified linux dedicated server that serves up stadium,valley,canyon at all
i have searched and searched but had no luck.

Ie in the manner that trackmania united does, allowing random environments ?

And then use the Trackmania 2 title where you can use all titles: Trackmania_2@nadeolabs (see http://doc.maniaplanet.com/dedicated-se ... leids.html)

The key is the "TrackMania 2" title pack. That title pack will run all three TrackMania 2 titles on the same server.

You can also use the same dedicated server to run each title individually on different instances of the server. It's quite nice what Nadeo has done there, and I'm thankful they're one of the few game companies that still allow us to host our own.

UAseco will run on top of the dedicated server to give you extra functionality. It's not a standalone server, but a server controller.

Does this tm2 server require a compulsory internet connection, im only running for a tiny lan and the server it is on is not allowed internet access its a file server etc. and i wont be changing that.

tm1 runs no problem but tm2 seems to be not liking it throws up

Hello, you need to set "TrackMania2@nadeolabs" ( or "TrackMania_2@nadeolabs", I forgot ) for the title name.

If I remember correctly, you can add:

/lan

to the end of your command-line to run the server and it will run in LAN-only mode.

Yes i thought so too, and have /lan on command line but no go

interestingly it works for the individual titles ie "TmCanyon" but not for "trackmania_2@nadeolabs" where it insists on needing a connection ?

found the following snippet on the web which i guess means its no go, how bloody stupid, never mind, still have trackmania1, will go back to that

If you have absolutely no access to Internet
So in that case, you only need to add the parameter /lan to your command line at the launch of the dedicated server. Yet with this solution you'll be able to launch only the basis titles (TrackMania Canyon, ShootMania Storm).


Rather regret i bought all 3 titles , foolish of me in retrospect, dont play online only local with the nephew
