[TM2] Unable to create new Maniaplanet account

I bought the TM2 pack on Steam earlier, and I'm unable to play any of the games because Maniaplanet always fails to create my account. No info on the error is supplied.

In most similar cases, it is a firewall or antivirus software or defender that is blocking Maniaplanet.
Check them and remove the block / allow Maniplanet.

Also try to run Steam and / or Maniaplanet with administrator rights.

Aside from setting them all to run with admin rights, I've ensured that exceptions for every possible TM2/MP-related application are present in Windows Firewall. I am still unable to create an account or even play the games.

Edit: I've tried downloading and installing ManiaPlanet from the official site (outside of Steam), and no cigar there either. ;_;

Then still your PC is blocking Maniaplanet, or your router.
Or someone else in your local network is using Maniaplanet.

Try the following: restart your PC, close all (really all!) applications which are running automatically at startup,
like chat or data transfer tools, mumble, xfire, even server tools like xammp/wampp etc.

Then wait for 5 minutes to make sure all network activities have stopped.
Now try the standalone client of Maniaplanet again.

If it is still not working, get the debug version (see links in my signature), this will write a logfile with some more information.
