Yes, we will be able to give the link of streaming on youtube, twitch or else.
As for filling up the grid, it will be the responsibility of Nadeo of deciding of the right balance of programs. Having the Lagoon campaign maps at start could be a cool program and after make it more rare.

Gotcha. So is there something in place to allow program creators the ability to get the popular time spots? (Weekends, evenings, etc?) I feel like people might hog those timeslots a lot.Hylis wrote:nope, that would go against the concept of channeling players to ONE creation, for this one to have an audience that can have a shared experience

Domino, there is a personal agenda inside the game that will be good to combine with ManiaCalendar. Apart from having a schedule, Channels is more about having one central place to play. If you do a title for example, you can give a meeting for it, but it's different to say inside the game that everybody should now play "one" creation. this creation can be ready since a week for the hour it will be be played, maps can be prepared, renewed or adapted etc.
Re: Last preview for Maniaplanet 4
Two (maybe dumb) questions for the streaming on the channels,
1. Will there be a nadeo member (or a somewhat moderator) who are going to moderate the stream?
2. Will there be a possibility of watching the stream directly on ManiaPlanet? (I guess no, for now)
And a more technical question, will there be an API to get details from channels?

The moderation is handled by the proprietary of the stream, not us.Guerro323 wrote:1. Will there be a nadeo member (or a somewhat moderator) who are going to moderate the stream?
That's not possible at the moment.Guerro323 wrote:2. Will there be a possibility of watching the stream directly on ManiaPlanet? (I guess no, for now)

Re: Last preview for Maniaplanet 4
Miss, the time slots will be attributed by Nadeo, so there is no risk of players taking too much time in a general way. It's obvious that some people may find that there is too much this or this at that moment, but that's part of the deal: sharing one party room so we can meet more easily together when we like what's happening.
We gave TV as an example, but clubs are really good ones and even better on many aspects. If your club does not have a meeting time, it's unlikely you will find enough people to practice and enjoy meeting on a regular (but not always) agenda.
Maybe I would be happy to play on every Tuesday night at 20h00, and so other players will be used to see me there. A royal cup can be a regular event that people get used to, with a lot of people to be involved and a system that launch the servers and distribute the players on each of them accordingly.
There are more to channels than what has been presented, like the fact that for each episodes, there could be a ranking. The primary step to understand is really the benefit of having a channel.
And Guerro, yes there will be an API and the channel schedule & link will be available from the site, like told in the article in case you missed it.

Re: Last preview for Maniaplanet 4
Channels are a nice way to unite the community and to bring some developer-curated traction back to the game.
The important question is now: Will Ubisoft invest in some marketing for the Maniaplanet titles with Lagoon coming out or not?
Maybe a sale to celebrate the launch of Maniaplanet 4 on platforms like Steam and Gamesplanet?
Also, most important question of all times: Forum upgrade/new forum software when?

I think you are making the right step with this, there are a lot of Shootmania gamemodes that are fun to play, but the player base is just not there. Definitely excited for this!
