Can't race against Author Medalist in Solo Campaign?

Before Maniaplanet 4, you would get the option to choose the Author Medal as an opponent to race against after earning the gold on all the non-black series tracks. Will this feature be re-implemented into Maniaplanet 4?

This feature has already gone missing in Turbo, no idea why this is suddenly not part of the game anymore.

I'm unsure why it wasn't in Turbo either... Maybe the point is to encourage players to figure out the fastest route for themselves. If this is the case, I suppose I can see why they elected to make this change. But straight-up removing a feature that's been part of the franchise since pretty much always still feels like a cheap way to increase difficulty.

That being said, Maniaplanet 4 is basically in early access right now. Perhaps the Author Medalist will eventually make a return?
