TM Lagoon - can't play, install error

I just tried to install TM Lagoon through steam.

I get to the ManiaPlanet screen and go to 'Play'. When I click on 'ENTER' it says "Could not install or update title's files".

I can't play the game at all. Disappointed after paying money for a title that I can't use at all.

I don't have any other TM titles on this machine or through Steam. Have LOTS of other Steam games and NO problems with any of them. Just TM.

Your assistance would be appreciated.

No, I haven't been able to fix the error. I've tried uninstall/reinstall through Steam several times, even tried installing onto another HDD, no success.

What else could I try please?

Try to launch Steam (and Maniaplanet) using Administrator priviledges.

Besides this, check if you have access rights to C:\ProgramData\Maniaplanet because it is typically there where the packs are getting updated.

Running as Administrator hasn't worked out for me. I assume that Steam version is broken.

So, you just backup files from "packs" folder (in your maniaplaner installation folder) to ProgramData\Maniaplanet\PacksCache, uninstall Steam version of tracknamia, delete Config folder from your Documents\Maniaplanet, download standalone version from http://maniaplanet.com/download and install it to whatever you want.
Tiles will work after your login. But... yea, it will be standalone version, not steam.
