Buying a new TM² Key is linked to uplay?

Hola all,

I am trying to create for one of my friends a Maniaplanet account and he would like to buy a TM² Stadium key, but the "problem" is, that "Uplay" is required?
On following link: https://de-maniaplanet.nexway.com/spiel ... 62807.html there is a notice, that you need uplay to activate the key for TM²Stadium. I already created a maniaplanet account for him now. The question is, if I would buy this key now and activate it on uplay, how can I connect it with the new created maniaplanet account? ^^

I am pretty sure it was possible to enter the key directly in Maniaplanet (in the titlepacks or Options -> Enter key (or smth like that))

I just bought 2 titles recently , also at nexway.com , never had to use Uplay.
I recieved mails with the game keys and added those to the game ( under section : keys )

ManiaPlanet key: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX
Uplay key: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX


Had the same doubt, here's what I did:

Enter key on Uplay > download and install the game through Uplay(~70MB) > start game, key will be linked to the first MP account you login into.

I uninstalled Uplay after doing this. Everything's working fine.

Well, I remember times, where it was easy to get keys for the game instead of using Uplay, Steam, Origin etc.^^

Well, the "Uplay" key which I had XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX couldn't be added directly in Maniaplanet.
Whatever, my problem is more or less solved right now with the hint by 745 ^^

yes, it is solved. But it makes basicly no sense for me to create an Uplay account, just only to play Stadium on Maniaplanet directly. On Lagoon, there is no hint that Uplay is requiered.^^

That's strange indeed.
When I purchased Lagoon in May, I did it on the official page, and it did not ask me to create an Uplay account.
Ok, I have one, and I used it to connect it for the Lagoon Beta, this might be a reason.
And I also received a typical Maniaplanet key (with -XXX ending).
