I'm confused, how does this work?

I just want to download some skins in-game but there doesn't seem to be any homepage anymore, like nadeo's homepayge with alternative skins for stadium, canyon and valley. When I click the compass icon I have to enter a url, I don't know what format it's supposed to be and there is no homepage or list. Who thought that was a great Idea? Moderator can move this if it's in the wrong place.

You can download alternative skins ingame when you type in the chat: $hunc-crew.
If you can't find anything you like, you can always check this website: http://www.maniapark.com/

You said to type it into the in-game chat? Seriously? What do I do with this then? It used to be really simple to find these player made sites, I don't know when that changed.

you have to enter adress of manialink to the textbar under "Enter a manialink address" text

for example:
