Re: TrackMania One - Version 1.24 Out Now!

Item = Car Model?

We can't make it smaller:

1) Because of the hitbox in X- and Z-Axis (width)
2) Because the SnowCar has a higher model than Valley

For Alpine I would recommend using Cam3

The Hitbox has nothing to do with the Model or the Item. You can make the Model (or your Item) smaller in all axis than the Hitbox !
Or why give it models the are very small in the high or other axis ?

Of course the hitbox has nothing to do with the model. But Please tell me how you want to change the view of the camera or the car model or the hitbox?

Nothing can be done in this case.

But when the car-model only half so high is (e.g. so high how the island-car), then is the angel from cam 1 ok for a good sight !

But the snow car is high by nature, so you can't make it less high or it will look like crap

I have to say great job regarding graphics and design.

Unfortunately i have to agree that playing it is less fun that TM2 Snow was due to camera position (i know not your fault) and car parameters which unfortunately also don't fit the old snow environment as desired. Still too much valley inside (e.g. acceleration much too lame, still some sliding which is imposs in real snow).

Still im waiting for desert and I hope you keep improving it

Thanks mate ;)
I think I can't change the parameters anymore, as it would destroy records, validations and the whole to for the most people, but speed is much better. I can say, speed is almost perfect and you should drive good with the car anyway.

Re: TrackMania One Speed - Teaser Trailer released!

Post by Florenzius »

Welcome to the first official news about TrackMania One - Speed!

Directly one day after the release of Alpine, I've started my work on the items-set of Speed, the 2nd envi to remake. Since the early beginning we already got a bunch of objects and it's looking great! Of course, we also learned from our mistakes on Alpine (such as object-size, vehicle-handling, objects-sorting, ...) and it's already a lot fun to play maps!

I'm proud to present the first teaser trailer of Speed, which shows a lot cool features already. Of course, a real trailer will come later, when we've got more to present.

It's also your chance to join the beta program of Speed already, by joining our Discord-server and giving us a small note.

Now enjoy the trailer and let us know what you think about it!
