[TM2] Connection - Download speed inside ManiaPlanet unacceptably slow

I can download title packs outside of ManiaPlanet and install them relatively quickly.

However, when I try to update those same packs from inside the game, the download speed slows to a crawl...for honestly no discernible reason.

I just tried the MP4 full installer and, not only did it work, but my connection to any of the online servers retains my high internet speed. It's only downloading title packs that slows down.

Any ideas?

No idea, must be some bandwith balancing by the masterserver, or perhaps caused by relaying inside the game.
If you access the file directly then the http or ftp protocol is more "direct".
