Assigning skins to car-items does not work

When I tried to assign a skin to an own car-item and saved it, it later in the editor - when I chose this car for my map - does not load the skin but the white-valley-placeholder.
What can I do to fix that?

Try to load another one, sometimes it doesn't load the skin, happens mostly with MP3 skins
all TM1 skins work well, so you can try that
