Hello, I think I have some sync issues.

Yesterday I've discovered that the game suddently reverted my save to a state where I had less medals in single player mode. How to investigate the issue?
How does the synchronization work? What data is saved locally (and where maybe) ? What is saved in the cloud? Knowing it can save a lot of hassles.

In case it's useful, I bought the game on steam, but after the first login I just used the version available from your site, to have better performance :D
But I don't think it's the root of the problem because I never used it once again, after the first time in order to atuhenticate my purchase.

no, nothing about that. it's all the same. I barely noticed it myself.

if you could explain how these things work, I could protect myself with the right backups.
Is there any chance to recover the save?

I've since then avoided to play local, in an attempt to try to preserve any further damage that could take the system beyond repair.

hi, thanks for your answer.

the problem appears in two forms: missing medals and missing "points".

missing medals means than it removed some of the progress i've made, lowering the medal score.
missing points means that in some map I have a small "0" in the corner of the button. This strange problem was solved by me by just playing after the purchase. I suspect that my previous records were saved in an old format, and after two years, the introduction of these small green points didn't read my previous record.
Since there this problem of green points too, it helps me investigate and conclude that the game simply took an old copy of my save. If there wasn't this problems of small green points, I couldn't had formulated an ipothesys, becasue it was "too strange", to maintain only something in the save and discard other thing.

the tracks whith less medals that I'm completely sure of are: A0, B13. Unfortunately I can't remember more.

will them be lost forever? how to protect myself against this bug next time?

I think that it's not important which courses are missing, to me it's just a broader problem, that is to say the sync system simply took an older save.

oh, wow, you can access the database of savegame? That's amazing!
sorry for my delay in the answer.
nevermind, in the meantime I just replayed the level and gained the medal.
From now on I will just use steam to ensure that it synchronizes all the cloud stuff correctly. Alas, steam recently makes everything stutter. Please look into it.

so, that is the folder of the saves? can I just alltoghether copy it and slap onto my drive everytime I reinstall the game? how much data is synched? is there something left out?

The Autosaves folder doesn't contain records registered on our database. this folder only contains records localy registered on your computer. Autosaves folders are not saved on our server. We saw that you recorded several times on several challenges. So is your issue fixed now?
