Hello,
My ManiaPlanet has no sound, literally 0 whether it's car engine, menu music, music, anything.
I was wondering if it wasn't because I have two accounts, one on Steam with only TM2S, and one on the standalone ManiaPlanet, with TM2S,V,C,L..?
Should I uninstall my Steam TM2S in order to get the sounds back, is it known that Steam and Maniaplanet don't go well together ? If yes, what other problems could I encounter ? thx

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
The 2 separate installs shouldn't matter too much, as far as I know.
What are your audio settings? Are you sure you didn't accidentally turn down your volume?
Can you try starting ManiaPlanet with the logs version and post a log file?
(Also, I moved your thread

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
Ok sorry for the inconvenience,
I uninstalled my steam TM2S but nothing changed, no I didn't accidentally turn the sound down, I even checked in "audio" options in the launcher to see if "enable audio" was checked and it was, it's just that when I enter the game, there is literally zero sound. As for audio settings, I'm just playing on a laptop, so the settings are just the one by default (i believe it's called Realtek HD audio). I don't have this issue with any other game nor program.
I'm not familiar with Logs, but once I've extracted them from the .zip and tried to launched them both, I got this list of error :
(translated from french)
- Impossible to execute this code, because libwebp64.dll is not found. Reinstalling the program could fix this problem.
- basically ctrl-C ctrl-V this message but replace libwebp64 with uplay_r1_loader64.dll
- again but with steam_api64.dll
- again with vorbis64.dll
So I guess I have to uninstall everything about ManiaPlanet and reinstall

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
You have to put the Logs.exe next to ManiaPlanet.exe and start it from there.

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
Probably it's due to the OpenAL DLL, there were already some reports when the 64bits version of Maniaplanet was introduced.
But as Miss already wrote, the logs would be very helpful.
Btw. did you try to run Maniaplanet 32bit?

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
Alright I'm sorry but I uninstalled and reinstalled ManiaPlanet before seeing your replies and the game now has sounds. Are there still benefits to use the logs now, I mean will anything show up in the logs anymore since it's fixed ? If yes I will do that

Re: Steam and Maniaplanet
No, if it's working conveniently, you don't need the logs version.
Actually this has additional debug code active, hence it is also slower than the regular version.
