I have been asked more than once to add custom sounds to the Glimratten Elite extension.
Currently working on this.
However, when the time is there to test this feature, I would like to have some folks that run a server and can test this for me.
If you happen to one of those people, please let me know and send me a pm. I'll instruct you further.

Think I have a version rdy to be tested. Allows an admin to add 5 custom sounds with a max length of 8 seconds.
Drop another PM if you want to test it!

Version 0.9 is alive.
It has two new options and a rewrite of most of the code.
Option 1 : "Use custom sounds" on / off
Option 2 : "Username for custom sounds" only valid if option 1 is on

There's a website (PM me for the link) where you can register yourself (try to use a short username) and add up to 10 sounds.
The sounds may not have a length longer than 8 seconds other than that the website will convert the sound to the correct format.
You can set a max of 5 sounds as active sounds. With every sound you can add a command (the chat command).
When listing the sounds you will see the actual chat command you have to type in-game to get the sound.

Once the sounds are added.. go to the plugin settings. Check "Use custom sounds" and enter your username. Press save.
Restart ManiaControl or de-activate re-active the plugin (sry.. tried various other techniques, but ManiaControl failed on me or I failed MC ).
When you change the sounds on the website, you will also have to restart ManiaControl or de-activate re-active the plugin.

Now you can play the sounds in the chat using a slash in front of the command.

p.s. These sounds will not show up in the helpall panel.
