@Miss:
I like your optimism but to me it feels like these forums don't have an impact on the future of Trackmania 2 anymore.
If you're not going to report bugs, they also won't get fixed.
I've been reporting the broken level geometry of the OFFICIAL PLATFORM CAMPAIGN for 20 months... I've even proposed a solution and estimated that it would take a JUNIOR level employee, quite literally someone who is on DAY ONE of working at Nadeo, one working day to reopen all the official levels in the map editor, calculate shadows (which fixes the issue), save it (... continue with all ~65 levels of the campaign) ... then pack the campaign and release it as a patch.
I've been asking Nadeo to spend ONE. F-ing. DAY. to fix their OFFICIAL PRODUCT.
I've asked Ubisoft to exert some pressure over Nadeo. No response.
I've tried shaming them on Twitter into doing it.
I screamed at Alinoa at these forums, trying to shame HER into fixing HER own creation. Some of you know how that went.
But the issue itself? 2 years after the "new release" of ManiaPlanet which caused the problem. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Still going strong,
I have a similar beef with Respawn Entertainment and their Apex Legends: Their mid-April patch introduced a nasty bug which would take 3 minutes to fix. It was reported by someone else on Day 1 of that patch. It's been a month, and they still haven't gotten around to fixing it. The bug? If you type "f" in a text chat with your squad mates, you will mute them (their microphones), without warning, because their "Press F to mute squad" doesn't check if you're currently in chat or not.
I am frustrated, because Platform is THE most beloved mode for me, and I can't play the official campaign. I don't understand how can a game development company have a game-breaking bug for TWO YEARS, have someone repeatedly telling them how to fix it, have the calculation of what it would take (= virtually nothing) to fix it, and not do squat about it.

This has been your 2-years anniversary rant from Alcator.
See you in 2020.
