I've seen people like skyslide make custom items that have magnet physics, they all seem to import mesh modeler files, but I just can't grasp how these work.
Normally If I were to create a magnet block, I would create a custom texture, give it the physics ID of magnets, then save, but this requires a custom titlepack.
So how does it work when there are magnet blocks without custom textures?

These items aren't made with the mesh modeler, they're made in Blender (or similar) and then imported via the Nadeo Importer.

This tutorial seems to cover it. Thanks for the pointer

If hosting is the problem, you can always try Github Pages.

Re: Magnet items without titlepack / custom textures
The magnetic tubes I made for Lagoon and magnetic chess pieces in Canyon were made solely in MM by using the appropriate textures.
Or are talking about something else.

Re: Magnet items without titlepack / custom textures
is he refering to the standard texture that just accellerates you or the one with the super magnet property which prevents you from falling of?
ive been willing to try that supermag one but its not put on a material in the ingame editor so you have to make a custom material (which means more download fiddling).
also, is blender better at handling textures? can i apply a texture to a 90 degree circular wall without having to use deformation in order to shape it without the texture getting all jumbled?

http://www.maniapark.com/ressource.php?id=3324 Not accelerating magnet physics are used here, the physics change for materials are actually pretty easy, just some xml writing to manipulate the existing physics of the textures (replacing the original settings) is used for this.
How a texture behaves is not only a blender thing, some textures in maniaplanet are projected textures f.e. they auto align, you can´t manipulate that by using another unwrap or similar. It´s given by the game, so better look for textures which are not named smtg with pxz f.e.
That´s why i used all metal on the items above here, turned and fitting very good
There´s also a test track for those magnetic stuff i made https://tm.mania-exchange.com/s/tr/134737 or this one https://tm.mania-exchange.com/s/tr/135258
