UDP is a basic transmission protocol, which is typically used for data transfers, like when using ftp.
I don't think that this is generally blocked in your network, but you could ask the IT department, or experienced senior students.
More probably some port ranges are blocked.
If you can't change anything on your side, then you will have to try and find out which servers are working, and which are not, and then only play on the servers you can connect to.
Are your friends all students on the same campus, or are they also playing from their regular home?
Perhaps one could create an own dedicated server which you could setup to work for you all?

He has done so already and he can't connect to it.
Well see which ports are used when connecting to a server that works can be a good starting point.Xelfi wrote: ↑08 Mar 2020, 01:30 But I dont really know what do to with it, the ports 2350 and 3450 are open on my server. But for the college's wifi, it's seems to be a lot more confusing I dont really know what is open (My school is probably using a proxy, so I've an internal IP (which i can get with ipconfig) and an other IP when i'm on internet (wich i can get on whatismyip.com for example).
You could install openvpn on the server OVH server and therefore have no additional costs.

Re: [Server] UDP Initialization failed
I was thinking of a dedicated server not on a hoster, but on a private home machine, where the router firewall can be opened for the necessary ports.
Re: [Server] UDP Initialization failed
We all are on the same campus
We've already tried creating a LAN server but it didn't work, I suppose we have to open some ports but we dont own the internet connection

I don't know if i can open the router firewall for the necessary ports.
That's interesting I'll try that asap
That's interesting too

Thanks to both of you !
