I have tried several possible fixes for the connection but it still estimates 20h to a day for downloading.
Everything else I do online seems fast so I cant image what the problem is. ~50mb/s say all tests I've done.

Actually, I wanted to play mainly SM.
No money to spend on games or computers.
I'm fine with vintage material, I don't really need a new one just for one game once in a while.

Hi again.

It took me several hours to download, there must be a problem with my operator.
Here are my steps:

1) Ran the Launcher.
Could configure but the play button only exited the Launcher, the game didn't start.

2) Ran the ManiaPlanet.exe.
Login successful.
Nothing happened when clicking the titles.
Quit and re-ran. This time, only StadiumF1 reacted by starting a download, which I cancelled to avoid a possible lost of old data.
Quit and re-ran. Also Obstacle starts a download, all cancelled again.
Repeating this doesn't make any other title, only the same two.
The store presents nothing.
The Edit Packs option tells me I am not connected to an online account, ignoring my logged in status.

3)Digged into the MP3, MP4 and Documents/MP folders to compare contents and trying to find past gaming files to transfer.
Found packs on the latest which I copied to the Maniaplanet3_Full\UserData\Packs.
This led the two downloadable titles not to react this time.
Copied also old replays but there is no place where access them on the menu. Opening them directly from the folder starts MP4, even if I choose MP3 from the options, and the game tells me that title isn't installed.

4) Deleted the packs from the folder until the download was triggered again.
Made a backup of Documents/MP to avoid the risk of losing old data.
Accepted the download of Obstacle (~178mb).
Could enter the game but couldn't find any multiplayer session to enter, so tried it solo and it ran fine. Creating one is also doable.
When I retried it later, all returned to no reaction from the titles page. None of the pak files seems to be the one I have downloaded, so where did it go?

5) Deleted again the packs from the folder and the same two downloads are available again.
Downloaded the same again because the StadiumF1 is 1.8GB and I am not wasting time with that.

Could my account be ruined because I have downloaded the updates of MP4 early this year? I have the old emails confirming my registering request with username and password so I guess I am using the correct data.

Something seems to interfere with the access to the titles.
Any directions?

Sorry for the long post and thanks again.

As i wrote before, the Maniaplanet version 3 cannot be used with titles which have been updated in between.
You might even have to stay with the official titles only.
This means, don't click on any other station with custom titles.

I don't know what you mean by "official", every game I have played on MP were the available ones on the menu.
Anyway, I can't play any of them, except solo on Obstacle (which is, btw, the one I less played before), so I don't understand what you mean by not clicking on some - I would choose what would be available.

I can't understand why would the developers not release a playable version or a fix for this.
MP4 should have been a new install or with an automatic backup of old files.
Improve the game? Sure. But that shouldn't mean to block users that can't cope with the new requirements. Why lose users? Why not give them the chance to keep the old version?

This is a problem everyone with weak hardware has, unfortunately.
The choice was to move forward and not stick until the end of the time with an outdated and unsupported video system.
DirectX 9 was never made for Windows 10 nor for the currently available video cards.

With Turbo the engine was improved, and they decided to use the newer engine with support for DirectX11 on Maniaplanet as well since then.
The next Trackmania will also be DirectX11 btw.

About the restrictions of the frozen setup, it should be pretty obvious.
If you were using a title that was updated to Maniaplanet version 4 in between, it will not work anymore with Maniaplanet version 3.

If you did a clean install, Maniaplanet will download updates for the custom titles unfortunately regardless if they work or not.
Only the official titles (Canyon, Stadium, Valley, ShootMania, Elite and few others) will not be updated automatically as they are part of the frozen setup.
