One thing i don't get about steam is the non release of information regarding sales. People think PC game sales are dying but if you don't take into account of steam it will look that way. You probably saw they were only 400k away from 4 million during the summer sale. They used to barely hit 3, now they hit 3.5 everyday. Steam's a big part in PC game sales for everyone and if they hit linux they'll grow even larger.BLiNNeMaNS wrote:ehr.. i meant the fact there's more games for windows in general.
Mac users get about twice the amount of games they can normally find in stores if they install steam, to windows gamers the amount of games offered through steam isn't even 1 percentage of games they can buy retail.

) Is that even though sales of digital downloads are through the roof and increasing, I have yet to see an article or information source that accurately assesses this: they instead focus on retail sales, which, naturally, are declining as A) more people get high speed internet and B) games as a media are changing to facilitate this trend in digital downloads (DLC, no boxed copy to begin with, etc)
