Banlist

I've got a question about the banlist. If we ban people they show up on the banlist that's fine. But when I restart the server the banlist shows up empty and the banned players can join again on the server.

running manialive version 239 with mlepp version 863.

That's not due to any controller, ManiaLive or otherwise. It's the dedicated server which doesn't save bans in a file. Use blacklist (by login) instead.

One question do?

Is'nt blacklist purpose for people who are cheating on the server and ban for people that are by example using bad language?

Ban is by IP, blacklist is by login. The criteria by which they're used are up to the server admin.
Btw, not to advertise, but XAseco can maintain its own banlist file so that it can do an IP check upon a player join and re-ban, if so configured. Other server controllers may have similar features.
