Beta First Reactions !

Flame me if you must, but I don't understand why it's such a big deal that those comments were posted? There were no comments that revealed anything new. Is it because NADEO wanted the secrecy of who the beta testers were?

I'm still not understanding that either, as those that won keys in the silly games are public knowledge... sure not all those selected were, but is it really that big a deal? Many keep saying "they took it down for a very important reason..." -- I'm just trying to understand what the reason is.

ehr.. i think the main problem is the fact people of the PR/press department of ubisoft contacted people outside the company of which some were only known on a secure forum?
(probably the only reason why it's been taken down)

it might also have something to do about the case of that they wanted to let people know first reactions in a latter stage.

that is what I wrote in the beta forum 24h before comments where posted on news

I would like to write a little message just to insist on the fact to avoid to comment to players external of the beta what are your impression on the game, even if what I saw is really positive

the best thing is to ask comment to stay secret, to ask people not to brag about the fact they are in the beta and try to reduce the time as much as possible between when you have other players comment and the time you try it yourself, for the fun of it.

also, positive comments or negative comments will either create disapointement or good surprise etc. To compensate, I should say that wiidesire-2 wrote "I hope the phisics will be changed till september" and "Sorry Nadeo I am out" and "I'm not sure if I will buy the game." But then, to compensate what I just wrote, I should say that Demonaz said "As an old timer, I can say that I have a great feeling on this one." or Mac_Matrix "To me it definitely has that 'Trackmania-ness' to it" And what about the guy I did not quote, but think he gave a valid feedback? Arg... I am not even putting TMX in the trackmania homepage, I will surely not put Demonaz (inside joke)

The only real fact I can disclose is that the looping is too hard for 99% of the players, that there are people to complain, but I like too much to watch them try to run through it

I will allow all players to post comment on the beta at one time, but I would like beta 2 to be started before. And it is arriving very soon!
