What would you rather have them be doing? Creating a custom font for their site logo, or creating custom skins for the cars you'll soon be racing, hmm?
All i'm saying is that if you are going to be professional its better to spend an extra 5 min (i'm sure most companies can spare that amount of time) to not make a font look like its been downloaded from a free font website, that's all.We need to stop worrying about stupid things like graphics and skins. It's a waste of time!

Web application wise for example. Instead of having to use images you can easily embed the logo using sifr or other stuff. This way you can easily change the background image with a transition while the text stays in tact.
It's also scalable without loss of quality, so you can actually create the same layout/proportions on all screen formats.
