You could still have Trackmania style racing like this. There are environments in TMUF where you don't want to slide and it is all about the braking and taking the right line. As long as this style of racing isn't forgotten then I'm sure we'll all be happy.zarexz wrote:I would love that too but that's like real racing and im affraid trackmania will always be like skateboarding with loops, ramps and jumps.tcq wrote:Would love to see some kind of driving style where you can't slide and it's all about finding the optimal brake points

Re: The third envriroment
I wouldn't want to do away with the crazy track pieces - in fact I have visions of jumping from skyscrapers to freeways and down to underground road tunnels with banked sides. However I would like the handling to be about accuracy with the brakes and throttle, as tcq and Bramble suggested.zarexz wrote:I would love that too but that's like real racing and im affraid trackmania will always be like skateboarding with loops, ramps and jumps.
Toy, Moon and Jungle sounds super awesome
Jungle sounds great - I imagine large off-road sections and Dakar rally style custom 4x4s - but I would need convincing on toy or moon...
Re: The third envriroment
Not just Coast, I would class Bay, Snow and Desert in the same group (and maybe Rally too). But you get the point, it doesn't have to be "realistic" in terms of not having crazy (and fun) blocks like loops etc to need skill on braking and not just sliding everywhere.zarexz wrote:You mean Coast![]()

Re: The third envriroment
Hmmzz.. To be honest, the braking thing on TM is just a case of locking wheels. Maybe that's because I use the keyboard. When applying brakes on the rally, snow and desert cars, they just stop at once. That's not really braking to me. With coast i always lift because the car starts to slide even more if i brake.Bramble wrote:Not just Coast, I would class Bay, Snow and Desert in the same group (and maybe Rally too). I really hope they will make a tiny little demo with just one or two tracks only to sample the drive.
Re: The third envriroment
I rarely brake on bay , only on the most extreme turns on snow, never on coast but often on rally - but it's still controlling the speed, and I think that's the point.zarexz wrote:Hmmzz.. I think a demo is unlikely, but if you really are debating buying the game there will be lots of opinions available after the game is released. However, as you are hanging around on the forum a month before the game is coming out, I think you've probably made up your mind already
