I'm registering just to say that I was in the same case as you. Bought the game around 12 hours ago with Paypal, received a first mail pending for activation key, and nothing after that.
I just received my key. So the payment process should work for you as well, it is just VERY long. I don't explain why, but if it can help, rest assured that you will get your key anytime soon. I fully understand how hard it is to wait when it works right away for anyone else...
