Why can't I use my United account to log in to TM2?

Why can't I use my United account to log in to TM2?
Tried using my existing United account so I don't have to remember yet another log in, game says account doesn't exist. Tried changing password in United, tried again in TM2 still doesn't exist. I ended up making a new account for TM2, but I'm extremely annoyed by this. Is there any way to merge the two accounts through support?

You need to make "Create a new account" and use the same login/password than TMF.
Re: Why can't I use my United account to log in to TM2?
Well if that works, it's to late for me since I already created a second account, doesn't make sense the way it's set up. Anyone from Nadeo bother reading this forum to see if I can email support to merge them?

I'd like to know this, too. I was unable to use my TMU-account with TM2, so I created a new one ... but having only one account for both games would be a lot better.Carm wrote:Well if that works, it's to late for me since I already created a second account, doesn't make sense the way it's set up. i don't understand why you are complaining about this. They are two different games.
Just name your TM2 account the same as your TMUF account, simple as that. That's what I did!

Ditto, and make sure they are the same passwords or else it won't allow you , even with TMUF servers accounts.Mysteria9 wrote:i don't understand why you are complaining about this. They are two different games.

New database, new ladder system, new game... That's like saying why doesn't my forum account over at "randomforum.com work on here?" It's a new place, so you need to sign up again. Just use the same info as before, i did..Carm wrote:Tried using my existing United account so I don't have to remember yet another log in, game says account doesn't exist. Re: Why can't I use my United account to log in to TM2?
Either it's because of a language barrier or some of you aren't grasping what I want, which is, I guess, my fault for possibly using merge to describe it. Every single EA pc game I own from this current generation requires me to log into my EA account, using the same exact name and password, across different games. Steam requires me to log in to play my 300 games on that service. UBisoft, requires me to log into their service to play their more recent titles, all different. Game for Windows Live requires me to log into the service to play all of my GFWL games, completely different, from different companies.
I've already read in other forums I lurk, others complaining about the exact same thing I'm asking about in this thread. Some of you act like it's a foreign concept for someone to expect one log in account, from the same company across their games, since they are selling the games as a service.
Others in this very thread, have explained the correct way of using the same log in, info for both accounts. That's all I want, same info, for both accounts. When first creating a TM2 account, the logical choice to do this is to pick the already have an account selection. Which says the account doesn't exist. There is no logic in having to create a new account, with the exact same log in name and password, to accomplish what the other selection, already have an account, should do.
Now, maybe I shouldn't have used the word merge to describe what I want. All I want is the same log in information so I don't have to remember two different log ins and passwords for two games by the same company, selling me games as a service.

Re: Why can't I use my United account to log in to TM2?
But you are assuming that Nadeo have created a system where one account works across all of their games.
They haven't.
Please feel free to add this to the suggestions, but I think it's a bit late now...
Incidentally, had you created a new account and chosen the same log-in and password, you would have had exactly what you wanted - one set of account details across both games. TMUF account details are reserved, meaning that if you pick a log-in name already used in TMUF you must use that account's TMUF password to use it in TM2.
