[CRASHES] TM2 - Trackmania 2 won't start [win7]

I've tried everything short of reformatting. I don't believe I would need a reformat for one game. I just hope this I'd a known issue for nadeo. I'll try to install it on my other computers and see what happens. Is there an email or live support to handle refunds etc? Just in case it doesn't work when I'm off work and try again.

U could check the log file wich will be placed in your "personal" data folder (somewhere in your USERS folder - no clue, since i set mine into the same folder as tm2 on the installation).

It's called "ManiaPlanetLog***.txt, maybe search your folders for "maniaplanetlog" if u cant find it. Maybe that will tell u about the problem

Another thing wich u could try, run the installer in admin mode.

Where exactly is the .exe of the actual game? The launcher does absolutely nothing for me.

Any help would be appreciated, and yes I have tried different video configurations, and yes I am certain I can run this game at 2560x1440 resolution.

I am running Win7 64bit Ultimate aswell and absolutly no problems with the game.
So this is NOT a general Windows 7 problem otherwise other people like me would have the same problem, right?

Hint: Try to find the problem somewhere between keyboard and screen !

PS: ok, seriously, check the Maniaplanet logfiles @ c:\user\(user)\Documents\Maniaplanet

I am having the same issue. The game will not start.

Click on the Mania Planet Icon and then it Shows ( Play - Config - Help - Exit )

I can go into config, help and exit, but when I click on Play nothing happens

Just did some checking and there are alot of zip files that are not unzipped in both C:\ProgramData\ManiaPlanet
and C:\Program Files (x86)\ManiaPlanet.

So it looks like to me that installer is not working properly

So I'm not the only one with the problem, TM just won't start, it is in memory ManiaPlanet.exe *32 but the game doesn't really start.
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit & Catalyst 11.8
Processor: Intel Corei7 2600k
Graphics: ATI 6950

Please try to unput all pad, joystick, wheels... and reinstall your pad drivers if it's good without pad.

Today, after having the game working since the launch it just stopped working for me.
Im using Win7 64bit. I have removed all the files related to tm i can find (user data, data under programdata and game folders) and removed all tm versions i had installed. Redownloaded the game a few times but same issue all the time. I did install the game on a completly new partition and moved user and programdata to new folders. The game launches, I get to a screen telling me a friend added me to buddy list, I click Yes or No. Doent matter which one i press the game allways crashes. There must be some corrupt files or registry entries that mess things up but I just can't find them.
The logfiles arent any help to be honest.

Any ideas are welcome... caus I'm all out...

one last thing. All other games installed i have tried works as they should...

I just checked the size of the ManiaPlanet folder in Program Files(x86) and it has only ~60mb, it can't be right, can it? Are the game files installed in a different directory?
