[View] Cockpit View (view presets) for default Car Models?

Post by jamie_macdonald »

Just wondering,

It would be a pain for custom Models, nothing will align correctly, (unless the model has a "pin" to mark driver head position (in much the same way it marks a light source at the moment)... But how pheasable is it to have an embedded cockpit view in the game (least one that will work with the default models)...

I know it can be done with the Mediatracker, but this again brings up the Car skin issue, and also is left down to someone "making it properly" ...So an included default cam5 for cokpit to feel the fear from the drivers angle, would be nice i feel :D

If not possible, no biggie, TM is an exception where i will play without a cockpit view (other racers have to have it or i say buhbye  )

Could be pure awesome, and scary!! ;)

Failing that, a camera "edit and save" mode, where we can set our own presets? (and solving the vehicle model problem in one swoop?) ^^

That "create-a-cam" option sounds like the way to go...especially since it's a possible feature in MT anyway...it shouldn't take -too- much extra coding, would it?

yeah ...coud be fixed facing forward and just have 4 keys to move x and y ... then save to a hotkey on the numberpad with the default cams

Yes .. it would be a bad ideea if you have car skins :( ... but in TMUF there is no driver (and it would be dum* to see that there is no driver and the wheel is not turning  )..
TM2 With driver = Not TM

What I just want to see in the MT is, when you click on "AnchorRot", the cam controls don't shit the bed. :-P It ALWAYS throws me for a loop (no TM pun intended  ) no matter how many times I do it.

You completely missed the point :?

With the camera saving option is does not matter the shape or size of the vehicle .. you can move the camera with the keys and save to a preset for that vehicle ... it is handy for ALL scenario's ...

That way you can drive your bridge/boat/car/plane/bike or whatever and have your cam where you want it.

make more sense now ? ;)
